Combined Engineering Seven-Year Medical Program

The combined Engineering BS/MD seven-year program is a joint undergraduate-medical program in which a student spends three years at TCNJ in engineering and four years at the New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). Upon successful completion of the first year of medical school, the student is granted a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from TCNJ. The M.D. degree is earned at the end of four years at NJMS.

Requirements

Students entering the combined Engineering/MD seven-year program must complete the foundational calculus and physics courses prior to matriculation. This requirement can be met through AP credit or dual enrollment/college course transfer credit for General Physics I and II, and Calculus I and II.   For information on additional requirements and answers to frequently asked questions, please visit the seven-year medical program webpage.
