Undeclared Engineering

The Undeclared Engineering program in the School of Engineering is designed for incoming students who are interested in majoring in an engineering major but are uncertain of which engineering discipline they wish to pursue. Students in the Undeclared Engineering program follow the first semester common engineering curriculum. The first semester Introduction to Engineering seminar will inform students’ decision making as they identify an engineering discipline are of interest.

Students admitted to the Undeclared Engineering program at TCNJ are guaranteed internal transfer into any of The College’s engineering programs of study, with the exception of the combined 7 year MD/engineering programs, within their first year of enrollment. Beyond that, the change of major (internal transfer) process is competitive and subject to enrollment limitation.

TCNJ engineering programs available to Undeclared Engineering students:

  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Engineering Science
  • Mechanical Engineering
