Student Representative Committee

Your Voice!

Student representation in the shared governance of the School is an important College-wide principle.  The Student Representative Committee is composed of elected engineering undergraduate students from departments across the School of Engineering.  School of Engineering elected representatives of the College’s Student Government Association (SGA) will serve on the Student Representative Committee as ex officio members without vote.

Election Process

To effectively provide representation of students on relevant committees, engineering undergraduate students in each department will elect two student representatives to the School governance processes.  Candidates will be asked to provide a brief statement regarding their experiences with the School of Engineering and reasons for wishing to serve as a student representative.  These short biographies and statements of interest will be made available to each departmental student body with a department-specific ballot. The two candidates with the most votes from each department will serve as members of the Student Representative Committee (SRC)
