TCNJ’s National Society of Black Engineers Welcomes the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory

TCNJ’s chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) hosted a company presentation featuring representatives from the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL). PPPL is a national center for fusion energy and plasma research and the visitors from PPPL explained what plasma is and how it can be used in fields such as engineering.  Students learned about the prospect of fusion energy as a safe, reliable, and environmentally friendly form of energy in the future.  The representatives from PPPL provided an overview of what they do on a daily basis in their respective roles at the laboratory as well as an overview of their career paths leading up to their current positions.   A Talent Acquisition Specialist for PPPL shared valuable information with our TCNJ students on internships and steps to take to begin a career in the field.  Many thanks to the NSBE Executive Board for organizing this opportunity for the entire TCNJ Engineering community!
