Simple Medical Monitor and Emergency Medical System Activator

Students:

  1. Steven Zilberberg

Advisor: O. Hernandez

As people age, it is often difficult for them to maintain a normal lifestyle without assistance from others. There is also a potential that they can be put into a life threatening situation and they might not be able to call for help.

For twenty years, there have been devices available to help solve this type of issue and provide a layer of protection for those in need. However, due to their design and the age of their technology, their uses are simplistic and often restrictive, which limits and even sometimes negates the function of the device.

This project will introduce a new design that will revamp the concepts of these older devices by implementing new technologies such as microcomputing in order to increase the freedom of the user and enhance their protection. Using this device with the new advances in technology, better medical monitoring can be achieved.
