In April 2009, the Fifth Root Society was born in the spirit of recognizing a long-term commitment to alma mater. The Society allows students who are transitioning to alumni to outwardly take pride in TCNJ. Members of the society will be called upon to come back to help with specific initiatives or to share experiences with current students, and to financially support the School of Engineering and TCNJ.
Entrance into the Society requires a donation to the School of Engineering. We ask that alumni commit to an annual gift level at the $100, $250, or $500 levels. Annual participation is the most important aspect of membership – therefore, at any time in the future membership may be maintained with a donation of just $2.50. This facilitates continued membership for seniors entering graduate school, or focusing on repaying student loans, or experiencing any other situation where the pledge amount is not possible in a given year. We want to retain members of the Society, as these are key supporters of the School beyond financial support.
Your gift will directly support the School of Engineering, including education costs not covered by tuition revenue such as student research, senior projects, student travel, scholarships, and major equipment for the laboratories. We look to our alumni to help shape the school and we invite you to remain a part of these initiatives.
