TCNJ School of Engineering Scholarships

*The application for 2023 – 2024 scholarships is no longer available.  The application for 2024 – 2025 scholarships will open in Spring 2024.*

The School of Engineering will be accepting applications for 2023-2024 academic year scholarships through April 15th, 2023.  Awarded scholarships will be applied to the fall ’23 and spring ’24 semesters.  Applicants will be notified by May 1st of the scholarships awarded. Any external scholarship applications should be submitted directly to the organization and not through TCNJ’s School of Engineering.

All scholarship applications must be made through our online form which can be found below.  A separate form should be submitted for each scholarship application if applying to multiple scholarships. Note that some of the renewable scholarships are not available each year.  The application will list only the currently available scholarships.

For Engineering Students

The scholarships below are offered by outside entities and are not affiliated with The College of New Jersey.  Any external scholarship applications should be submitted directly to the organization and not through TCNJ’s School of Engineering.  Students who receive grants or scholarships from outside sources are required to report them to TCNJ.  Click here for information on how to report to TCNJ.

  • ASME Student Scholarships and Loans
    ASME Scholarship & Loans seeks to establish Educational Funds for the purpose of assisting worthy students in the study of Mechanical Engineering and associated graduate work.
  • American Council of Engineering Companies
    The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) offers scholarships through nominations received from Council Member Organizations. Students must be entering their junior, senior, fifth, or graduate year, in the fall to qualify for the general scholarships.
  • American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey
    The American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey (ACECNJ) will award up to six scholarships to students intending to become consulting engineers.
  • American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Scholarships and Fellowships
    These ASCE scholarships are for undergraduate students, provided they have at least one semester or quarter of study in the next academic year. Applicants must be current ASCE Student Members in good standing.
  • Association of State Dam Safety Officials Senior Undergraduate Scholarships
    ASDSO awards annual senior undergraduate scholarships of up to $10,000 to U.S. citizens enrolled in accredited programs in engineering or related fields and planning careers related to the design, construction, or operation of dams.
  • Construction Roundtable of New Jersey Scholarships
    Scholarships for Transfer Students from Community Colleges ($2,500 – $3,000 per year). Download application form by clicking on the link above.
  • Elmeryl Davies Memorial Scholarship
    The New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Association (LSRPA) awards the Elmeryl Davies Memorial Scholarship annually to undergraduate students in their junior or senior year in a four-year accredited science or engineering program.
  • IEEE Student Scholarships and Awards
    IEEE offers a variety of scholarships, fellowships and grants for IEEE student members. Submit a project or paper for consideration and have the opportunity to win and gain peer recognition for your effort.
  • ITEEA Scholarships 
    The International Technology and Engineering Educators Association’s Foundation gives awards, and scholarships to support the advancement of STEM through Technology and Engineering Education.
  • John F. Donohoe Scholarship
    The Associated General Contractors of NJ is pleased to announce the $10,000 John F. Donohoe Scholarship for civil engineering students who are entering the second, third or fourth year of an accredited civil engineering program.
  • National Society of Professional Engineers Scholarships
    NSPE offers scholarships at the High school, Undergraduate and Graduate levels. Scholarship forms are in PDF and require free Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.
  • New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers Scholarships
    Incoming Junior or Senior undergraduate engineering students who are enrolled full-time in a post-secondary education institution in New Jersey and pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering are eligible to win a scholarship.
  • Nordson BUILDS Scholarship Program
    Nordson BUILDS is designed to help bright and motivated students with unmet financial need, access and complete postsecondary education by lessening the financial burden on the students and their families. Scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $10,000 will be awarded to students.
  • Ocean County Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship
    Ocean County Society of Professional Engineers is a Chapter of the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers.   They offer scholarship opportunities every year to NJ engineering students, $1000.00 each. Each applicant is eligible for only one scholarship award. If interested, look out for an email with the application, usually sent out around the end of April by the School of Engineering, with the deadline typically being beginning of June.
  • Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) scholarships
    The SME Education Foundation has provided over $8.1 million dollars in financial aid through its various scholarship programs. The Foundation awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors, current undergraduates and masters or doctoral degree students pursuing degrees in manufacturing and related fields at two-year and four-year colleges.
  • South Asian American Association Scholarship
    The South Asian American Association, Inc. (SAAAI) was founded in 2000 as part of a comprehensive effort to recognize the commitment, dedication and contributions of our people in this country.
  • Watermark Scholarship
    Watermark’s annual scholarship program supports women in the U.S. pursuing an education and career in STEM.
